The furnace men are here and have been since 8:30. I don't know what they're doing, exactly. Apparently moving a boiler from one side of the cellar to the other takes a while.

Well, the chimney has just been swept. The chimney sweeps called up yesterday and asked for an appointment. I'm fairly sure that the town had something to do with that, as the guy in charge of housing was shocked that I wasn't burning wood in the fireplace and hadn't had the chimney swept for several years ( Read more... )
